The Bigotry of the No Crowd

The following commercial is supposed to air on CNN and MSNBC today. Please write a message to CNN (http://www.cnn.com/feedback/forms/form6a.html?2) asking them not to air it and also write an email to MSNBC at letters@msnbc.com. This is bigotry at its worst. Such a commercial would never air against Jews, Muslims, or any other religion.

Jews and Muslims aren't trying to take rights away from people.

If the shoe fits, wear it.

Scott - Lots of problems with your comment. First, the "rights" you claim never existed until 4 judges decided to create them out of thin air. Thus, you have no right to ssm. Further, ssm violates natural law on which our system of government is based, so ssm is void at its inception. You only hav such rights as are recognized by natural law. Second, thousands of Jews, Muslims, Catholics, Evangelicals, Hindus, etc. are voting in favor of Prop 8 - not just Mormons. Third, you prove my point that the No Crowd is intolerant of anyone who exercises a real right such as the right to practice one's religion or to free speech if doing so runs counter to your opinions.

Your attempt to take the moral high ground is really quite ironic. You advocate an "institution" that has been recognized since the beginning of time as debased and immoral and you justify your bigotry by feigning that this is an issue of rights. Keep trying my friend.

Your comment only shows how ignorant you are of our system of government.

What part of the equal protection clause in the CA constitution don't you understand?

The Mormon church has leaned on it's members to donate almost 50% of the money for this proposition and have lied to their followers about tax exemption, religious freedom and the point of CIVIL marriage.

Calling my relationships (which are none of your self rightous business) "debased" and "immoral" only show how much of a bigot you are and why this ad exactly fits.

On a side note, F*CK yourself.

Scott - I actually understand our system of government and the equal protection clause, quite well, I had to go over it in depth in law school and tend to face it each day practicing law. So, nice try.

And, you are right, your relationships are none of my business. That is how I would like to keep it, which is why I'm voting Yes!

As to your profanity and ad hominems, you should work on debating the issues rather than attacking the debater. It will help your argument in the future.
